Description:Basically just an excuse to show a whole lot of painfully annoying Latin American music and dancing. There was a tiny bit of a plot about Dan (Phillip Terry) a photographer for a magazine visiting Latin American countries to take photos of beautiful women. A writer (although she did nothing to hint at this at any point), Jo Anne (Audrey Long) goes along as an excuse to get to her fiancé in Brazil. In the end, womanizer Dan mends his ways and falls for Jo Anne, and she dumps her fiancé and falls for Dan. Eve Arden was along as the editor of the magzine and Robert Benchley was along as the emcee.

Review - Pan-Americana

The music all looked and sounded exactly alike. Audrey Long was lovely, but her character made no sense — trying to put the womanizing Dan off by flirting with him one minute, then trying to annoy him, then kissing him, then putting him off. I never could figure out what her character was supposed to be doing. There was one scene in a theater that was played over and over throughout the movie in which Jo Anne peeks at Dan over her shoulder. Just a dumb, annoying movie.
