Description:Bank robber Clay Lomax (Gregory Peck) gets out of prison and goes looking for Sam Foley, his partner who double-crossed him and shot him in the back. Sam knows he's coming and hires three gunslingers, Bobby, Skeeter, and Pepe, to keep track of Clay and let Sam know when he's coming. Clay sends to K.C. to his old girlfriend to send his money — which she does, along with her and Clay's seven-year old daughter, Decky. Clay tries to find someone to take the child, but nobody does. Clay sets off to find Sam with Decky in tow and the three gunslingers (and a prostitute they picked up) following. Clay realizes they're tracking him and sneaks up and takes their guns. He tells them to go tell Sam he's coming, but they decide to keep following. Clay happens upon the house of a widow named Juliana and her son. They stay the night, and Clay and Juliana contemplate a future together. The three punks show up and get the drop on Clay. Bobby gets a kick out of shooting things off Decky's head. Clay manages to get Skeeter's rifle,. Bobby, shooting for Clay, kills Bobby, then takes off with Dekcy after killing Pepe for not listening to him. Decky gets away. Bobby goes to Sam and demands more money, then kills Sam. Clay shows up and has a showdown with Bobby and kills him, then goes back to Juliana and Decky.

Review - Shoot Out

Just a typical western with no surprises or interesting characters (Decky was the best). The three actors who played the gunslingers were some of the most annoying characters in any movie I've seen. They overacted and postured and made every scene they were in total nonsense. Peck has done much better.
